If you are in Berlin and love food and you are looking for something new, something unique that will fill your crave for the new spices your tongue lingers for. We have got some of the best Indian recipes, (most of them are vegetarian) that you need to try in the winters and some of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin you should try out.

  1. Dal Makhani:
Dal Makhani is derived from Dal (Lentils) and Makhani (Butter), commonly known as the Punjabi favorite recipe. It is popular for its serving at matrimonial events and almost any parties in India. This dish is rich in calories as it holds ingredients like: Whole Black Lentils, Red Kidney Beans, White Butter (Makhan) and full fat cream. Believe me, if you are not a fan of lentils which considerably I was not, this rich creamy recipe changed my mind and I am sure it probably would do the trick for you or for your kids if you are a parent. There is also a widespread myth in Punjab that this recipe actually tastes even better when you eat it on the second day. Dal Makhani goes very well with boiled rice, roti (loaf) or naan (traditional bread). There are some of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin that offer this recipe topped with a lot of cream and butter respectively.

  1. Chili Chicken:
Everybody knows that vegies hold a strong place in meals but when it comes to chicken, nobody can beat that yummy taste and if you add some chilies in it which I actually love, this is the right recipe for you. Chili Chicken is a traditional indo-china style recipe that is served in popular Indian Restaurants in China. Since it made its way to become the most popular dish for people who are into chicken and spice at the same time. This dish is now served at some of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin too. The ingredients include boneless chicken, soya sauce (to marinate), chili sauce to spice up the flavor and pepper to add more hotness into this yummy recipe. In almost all restaurants, you will be served with soya sauce and chili sauce toppings all over the dish. This recipe tastes hot, spicy, sweet and sour all mixed together which makes it one of the best dishes in my opinion (I like it grilled, though). It is usually served with fried rice or egg noodles.

  1. Shrikhand:
Shrikhand is a traditional Indian sweet or desert dish that came from Maharashtra and Gujrat. It is commonly served in the thali meals restaurants and is quite common in marriages. If you love sweet dishes and this might be your best bet! Shrikhand is made from hung curd, sometimes cardamom is also added into it to enhance its sweetness and saffron makes it quite lovely. You have to taste this recipe if you love getting desert after meal.

Try out these recipes by searching besten indischen restaurants in Berlin and you will probably find some of the best restaurants that serve these amazing awed dishes all over Berlin and I am sure you will love each and every one of them.
